Elephants and Cards

My final series for Design for Illustration. I only really like the 1st and 3rd paintings. Overall I learned a lot. The theme for this assignment was "Visual Metaphors." How can you make a picture mean something more? To solve this problem I again juxtaposed two different images/ideas: elephants and playing cards. The reoccurring Jack of Spades perhaps holds some significance... that's for the viewer to decide. I think it's pretty straight foward... I basically wanted to draw many elephants. :) (and explore the concept of visual metaphors).

The picture types in order: Flattened space, Heirarchies, Montage, and Tablaux: Metaphorical Space.
